After months of speculation, Rockstar Games has finally announced Red Dead Redemption 2 and will launch the Western-based shooter next year.
Due to release next Spring in the US (Autumn in New Zealand), Red Dead Redemption 2 will be Rockstar’s next big release following the phenomenal success of GTA V in 2013.
Since then, gamers have been desperate for news on just when the series would return, with speculation being rife for months. During the past week, Rockstar have released several pieces of artwork teasing the game before officially confirming its existence days later.
Red Dead Redemption 2 will be available on Xbox One and PS4 to begin with before a release on PC comes along later in 2017.

No details on the game have been released as yet, but insiders say that the game will take place “to the East” of the location of the original Red Dead Redemption, and will revolutionise online open-world gameplay. Multiple characters will likely be playable if the games concept art is anything to go by.
Gamers will have high expectations of Red Dead Redemption 2, as well they should.
The success of GTA Online has set the bar high for this games online mode. Speculated to be called Red Dead Online, gamers will be able to do similar things they have been used to in GTA Online, but set in the world of Red Dead.
Red Dead Redemption 2 will be the hottest release of 2017, and Rockstar have once again timed their announcement in a way that surprises the market.
