A fully functioning hotel overseas provides job training and employment for people with disabilities, but it is much more inclusive than you’d think.
The hotel, located in Muncie, Indiana, opened on December 22nd.
The 150-room premises currently employs over one hundred staff members, 20% of which have developmental and other related disabilities. Individuals with disabilities work in all operational areas of the hotel including the front desk, housekeeping, and at the onsite bistro and restaurant.
Part of the job training includes internship at the hotel for disabled people.
As disability sectors around the world aim to become more inclusive, this hotel is a major step in the right direction to helping disabled people into employment and changing social attitudes.
