A professional rugby player tends to travel around but always goes back to his roots – and that could well be the case for Brad Weber.
News emerged via Fairfax Media yesterday that Brad Weber has signed a two-year deal with Hawkes Bay, it will see the young halfback return to the province where he played all his age-grade rugby.
Weber was a standout for Waikato all season during the ITM Cup and news of his impending departure from the union will come as a surprise to many. Weber’s experience has been an asset to the Mooloos as well, in fact, Weber was the key factor in Waikato’s shield victory over Hawkes Bay last Friday, scoring three of the five tries on the night.
Weber will remain with the Chiefs in Super Rugby for the next two years.
