Naholo broke his fibula during the All Blacks 39-18 victory over Argentina.
Naholo was one of the standouts in Super Rugby for the Highlanders and came very close to scoring on his All Blacks debut just moments before the injury occurred.
Recovery time for a broken leg is over 10 weeks, meaning Naholo will miss selection for the Rugby World Cup.
The All Blacks RWC squad is due to be announced at the end of August.
