Sky Movies Disney launches early afternoon tomorrow and the first fan favourite will screen at 7pm with Cinderella.
Sky Movies Disney features an array of award-winning content in the first month, with classics including The Little Mermaid, Pinocchio, One Hundred and One Dalmatians, and Merry Poppins all airing in special feature time slots.
Sky Television has been fighting an up-hill battle to keep subscribers for the last year, and recently put up its prices even further.
The movies package, which will include Sky Movies Disney, goes for a $20 monthly fee, and Sky will be hoping that the launch of this new family-based movie channel will keep existing movie subscribers for a while longer.
Other blockbuster movies coming this month on Sky Disney include Maleficent and Cool Runnings.
Disney-focused movie channels have been around on Pay TV for a long time in other countries, but tomorrow is a first for New Zealand.
