Aaron Cruden’s knee injury could be worse than initially feared according to reports in the media this morning.
Potentially, Cruden has suffered a ruptured anterior cruciate ligamint.
New Zealand Rugby are yet to comment on Cruden’s knee injury but Chiefs coach Dave Rennie has already confirmed that the regular first five will not take any part in Friday’s home game against the Force in Hamilton.
Cruden left the field in Christchurch early on Friday night after tweaking his left knee.
The injury is understood to be serious and at worst case scenario – could see Cruden ruled out of the Rugby World Cup later this year.
More is expected to be announced at today’s Chiefs media session.
