Chiefs dominate woeful Crusaders

The Chiefs have continued their recent dominance over the Crusaders with a sizeable 26-9 win in Christchurch and now all sorts of questions are being asked in the south.

Daniel Carter missed a potential nine points for the Crusaders in the first half as his side struggled to get anywhere near the goal line.

With an extra man in the forward pack after Sam Cane was sent to the sin bin, Kieran Read opted to kick for the posts rather than test the weakened Chiefs defense.

Carter would go on to miss the next three attempts on goal.

Aaron Cruden left the field for the Chiefs after 15-minutes when he appeared to tweak his left leg while running.

As yet, the extent of the injury has not been revealed.

James Lowe dotted over the line for another try on the season, as did Michael Leitch and Liam Squire.

Following the match Crusaders coach Todd Blackadder said the result was unlucky.
