My first live NRL experience

My first experience of the NRL up close and in the flesh was a winner. Even if the Warriors were pumped by a superior Roosters side.

I have been a follower of league my whole life, and the fact that is has taken until now to get to an actual live game is a little laughable. I have been to a ton of cricket matches and more than a few rugby games, but for whatever reason I just hadn’t managed to get myself along to a Warriors match.

To be honest, it was a pretty cool experience. The hits in league are hard, the action is fast, and the atmosphere inside Mt Smart Stadium this afternoon was just unreal.

But the disability “section” at Mt Smart Stadium is a little disappointing, but looking around the ground it is hard to see another area where they could have put wheelchair users.

I ended up with eight tickets to todays game on my hands, thanks to the Vodafone Warriors for hooking me up after winning some random competition on social media during the week.

Today was cool also because it marked the first time that I saw Sonny Bill Williams in the flesh.

All in all, my first live league experience was a winner.
